Jo Confino, moderator of this panel, is an executive editor at Huffington Post. He develops long-term editorial projects that are based on social, environmental and economic justice such as This New World global platform on transforming capitalism and systems change.
Amy Ellenbogen is the director of the Neighbors in Action. She develops and implements programs, and oversees daily operations. Amy also directs SOS Crown Heights, an anti-gun violence program that uses a public health approach.
Samuel Gregory, P.C, assists clients in New Jersey and throughout all five of the New York City Bureaus of Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, Staten Island and the Bronx with a wide range of criminal defense matters in both state and federal courts.
Ken Mountgomery, a prominent criminal defense attorney, community activist and thinker with a unique perspective. He also runs the Brooklyn Combine.
Bhante Suddhāso is a Buddhist monk living in New York. The co-founder of Buddhist Insights, a platform using technology to build community and facilitate access to monastic teachings, his work aims to convey Buddhist concepts and their uses to everyday life.
In addition to these panelists, two members of SOS Crown Heights, who work daily in our neighborhood, will join in the discussion.
