CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

Sequences: 4 Evenings of Photography

September 12, 19, 26 and October 3

7:00pm - 9:00pm

happylucky no.1 is pleased to announce Sequences, a month long series of photography conversations to be held September 12, 19, 26 and October 3, where photographers are invited to share their vision and experience of storytelling.

As a tribute to the analogue contact sheet, which has become almost obsolete in the face of digital technology, we'd like to consider the photographer's eye, technique and in the words of photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson, "what surprises us, what we catch, what we miss, what disappears."

We INVITE photographers on any level to submit a 'contact sheet' of their work to photo@happyluckyno1.com by September 5th (extended).  Up to 5 photographers will be selected and showcased randomly.

For each session, a photography professional will be in attendance to critique the works on view and to offer feedback.

September 12: Ernie Monteiro, Deputy Photo Editor at Inc. Magazine
September 19: Noelle Flores Thread, Program Associate at Magnum Foundation
September 26: Jean Dykstra, Editor of Photograph Magazine
October 3: Anais Maroon, Photography Director of The Future of Everything Magazine at The Wall Street Journal

Photography submissions can be across the genre of Fine ArtStreet Photography,Portraiture and Documentary.

Organized by independent curator Stephanie Baptist and photographer Anderson Zaca.

How to apply.
Send an email with your name, short synopsis of your practice, and a 150 dpi, 8.5 x 11 (horizontal) file JPEG of 12 consecutive images in contact sheet form, 3 rows of 4 images, BW or Color.
