Darren Solomon and CJ Camerieri
Darren Solomon is a composer, bassist and keyboard player, based in Brooklyn. He began his career touring as a bassist for Ray Charles while still in his teens, and went on to work both as a composer and an instrumentalist. He is a founder and creative director at Quiet City Music, and has written the music for hundreds of TV commercials, winning both a Clio and Cannes Gold Lion. His collaborative ambient music website In B Flat 2.0, was featured on CNN and NPR’s Weekend Edition, and he regularly performs electronic music around the city.
As a trumpet player, french hornist, and keyboard player, C.J. Camerieri has enjoyed an active, diverse, and exciting career since completing his classical trumpet training at Juilliard in 2004. C.J. began working in alternative music as the trumpet player and keyboard player for Sufjan Stevens in January of 2006. He then went on to tour the world as a member of a’s band in 2007-2008 before starting yMusic with Rob Moose in the spring of 2008. He joined Bon Iver in 2011 while also touring with Yoko Ono’s Plastic Ono Band. C.J.’s discography includes well over 100 recordings, including current and forthcoming releases by Bon Iver, yMusic, Sufjan Stevens, Rufus Wainwright, David Byrne, Antony and the Johnsons, Martha Wainwright, Loudon Wainwright III, Gabriel Kahane, The National, Julia Stone, Ingrid Michaelson, The Staves, and My Brightest Diamond.
