We go behind the scenes with a group considered one of the most creatively prolific and longest-running spiritual collectives in America, The Unarius Academy of Science of El Cajon, California.

We document the essential beliefs and practices of the group through candid interviews and intimate, behind-the-scenes moments, at once revealing the stranger-than-fiction origin story of Unarius and the phenomenal tales of its “cosmic visionary” co-founder, Ruth Norman, known to students as Archangel Uriel. This is a short documentary from director Jodi Wille, whose previous film The Source Family is currently being adapted into a scripted HBO series.

NEW DEEP SOUTH is an ongoing short web series elevating the voices and stories of queer youth living in the American deep south. Co-creators: Lauren Cioffi and Rosie Haber.

The first episode, INSTABABY, tells the story of a young queer couple from Jackson, Mississippi, the last state to ban adoption by same-sex families. We follow the young couple as they try to start a family and pursue adoption of an unborn child through Instagram.

The second episode, KAYLA, is an intimate look at the life of a young queer person living in the heart of the Mississippi Delta as she transitions into her true self.

Our next episode tells the story LGBTQ rainbow families in Jackson, Mississippi, a vibrant and close knit community charting their own paths.
